Your first visit
The first visit is an evaluation, about an hour with a prescriber. It is a conversation, not a test.

Before you come
You get the fee in writing and a link to the intake forms on the practice's own portal. Please bring a list of what you take now, and leave medical details out of messages.

The conversation
Your prescriber asks about your history, what has helped and what has not, and what you want. You decide how much to say.

The plan
Together you decide on next steps. A medication is only one option, and nothing is prescribed before this evaluation.

Before you leave
You book a follow-up, and we tell you how refills work and who to call between visits.
Questions
About the first visit
Can someone come with me?
Yes, if you would like. You decide what is said in front of them, and you can ask to speak with your prescriber alone.
Do I need to bring anything?
A list of what you take now, including anything without a prescription, and your insurance card if you use one.
Can I have a video visit?
Yes, if you are in Texas when we meet. Some visits need to be in person, and your prescriber tells you which.
