About

We don't do surface-level.

Most medication visits are a few rushed questions. At Eclipse Psychiatry a visit is long enough to hear you out: what has been happening, what you have already tried, and what you want your days to look like. Then you and your prescriber decide on a plan together.

  • Time to listen

Your prescriber asks before advising, and answers your questions in plain words.

  • Risks said out loud

Each option comes with its common side effects and what to watch for, before you decide.

  • Therapy down the hall

One therapist is part of the practice, so talk therapy and medication can be planned together.

How It Works

Four steps to get started.

Here is what happens, in order, from your first message to your first follow-up.

  • 01

    Reach out

Send the form or call. Someone from the practice replies on business days to find a time.

  • 02

    Check your benefits

We check what your plan covers, or give you a Good Faith Estimate in writing if you pay yourself.

  • 03

    First visit

A long visit with a prescriber: your history, your goals and a plan. Nothing is prescribed before it.

  • 04

    Follow-up

Shorter visits to see how things are going. Refills are handled at scheduled visits.

FAQ

Straight answers.

No jargon, no runaround. Here is what people ask before they book.

01How does paying work?

It depends on your plan. The How fees work page explains it, and if you pay yourself you get a Good Faith Estimate in writing before your first visit.

02Do you offer video visits?

Yes, if you are in Texas when we meet, where our prescribers are licensed. Some visits need to be in person, and your prescriber tells you which.

03Will I leave with a prescription?

Only if you and your prescriber decide it is right after the evaluation. The Prescribing policy page says what we do and do not prescribe.

04What happens at the first visit?

A long conversation about your history, what you take now and what you want. You and your prescriber agree on a plan, and you book a follow-up before you leave.

05Is this confidential?

We keep your records private and share them only as the law allows. Your prescriber explains the few exceptions, such as a risk to your safety or someone else's, at your first visit.

06What do I do in a crisis?

Call or text 988 any time, or call 911 in an emergency. This practice is not monitored around the clock, so it is not the place to reach in a crisis.
